I came across this post, but the solution isn't what I'm looking for.
So, I have a table with the following layout:
Name Zip_code Population A 19097 100000 A 18731 85754 A 05671 34325 B 12231 214 ... ... ....
What I want to do is basically "combine" the zip code areas and create a new custom area grouping by the Name column. So, something like the attached image.
Due to work, kml files or GeoAnalytics is not a solution for me. Thank you for any help you can give me!
This is a text book case use for GeoAnalytics and the dissolve function. Why are you unable to use this? Not sure that anything else quite replicates that functionality.
