Creating the scatter plot having 2 columns

Hi all,

I have to create a scatter plot on the following data set-

USER DATE
AD 7/7/22 1:25 PM
AD 7/7/22 2:09 PM
AD 7/7/22 11:35 AM
AD 7/7/22 1:08 PM
AD 7/7/22 1:59 PM
AB 7/7/22 1:27 PM
AB 7/7/22 1:22 PM
AB 7/7/22 1:23 PM
AB 7/7/22 10:38 AM
AB 7/7/22 11:31 AM
AB 7/7/22 11:25 AM
AB 7/7/22 10:04 AM

This chart will be  for audit purpose . Management wants to know when and how long one particular user stays in the system on any one given date.

I tried many ways but could not get something like this in Qlik sense-

Please help to how to create scatter plot to achieve such result.

Thanks you all.

Can you describe how the x-axis is derived from your sample data?
What is your expected result in case the timestamps span multiple dates?

X axis is user and Y is timestamp. For example on 7/7 /22,  user AD was on system from 11.25 am - 2.09 pm.

I want to show this result in scatter plot chart in form of bubbles.

The screenshot posted in my question was  received from the client. They wants to replicate same chart in Qlik.

I am not even sure if it is possible in Qlik sense.

please post how the result should look like for your specific sample data.

Not yet, still trying to figure out how to fulfill the requirement. Now thinking may be some other chart such as line chart or trend chart.

I found one similar question in the forum but not many answers posted as a solution.

I think, I am successful little bit. Here's what I did-

I added one more Column name "Row ID" and separate the date and time from the date-time column in my original data set. Then I added Row_ID in dimension and Max(Date) in X axis and MAX(TIME) in Y axis. My end result is like below for date 10/6/21 (this is the date I selected to verify the result)-

Result is kind of coming okay as needed. Only thing I am struggling now is to display only timestamp in Y axis. I looked few post related to that but unable to achieve result .

In my data set I have datetime in 10/1/2021 7:09:36 AM format. I separate the Date and Time in the data set hoping that it will be easy to display timestamp but it is not helping.

Can any of you please help me how to display only timestamp  in Y axis?

Hello All,

I was able to achieve the result I was looking for. I replicated the chart made in excel sheet by Client in Qlik Sense-
