Hi There,
I am new to qliksense and previously worked on Qlikview.
I notice that there is no save button in the data load editor in Qliksense.
My question is say, if i am reading an existing script and accidentally added some character and the editor perform auto-saved, this would be an issue. How can i disable auto-save?
While working in Qlikview, when I am closing the script editor, it gives a dialog whether to save or not, which is very helpful. I don't see that in Qliksense. The notice the same issue in the qliksense UI.
Can any one suggest, how do you deal with this in day-to-day development.
Thanks.
As far as I know, there is no equivalent to history in Enterprise. I am also an Enterprise user, and we use Platform Manager, a third party tool, to control our development and make sure we can revert to a correct version if something has gone wrong. There are multiple other tools available should you wish to pursue that option.
You can use CTRL+Z as you would in any other app. I believe up to 100 Undos are saved, but I may be wrong on that.
Can anyone please reply to above question.
You can't disable auto-save, as far as I know. You can use Undo if you did something by mistake and would like to undo it. Ideally, your development environment should be such that a mistake can be rectified, restored from backup, or otherwise dealt with.
If you're using Qlik Sense Cloud, it should automatically store the last 50 versions of your script so you can revert to an older one if required. This is available from the "History" option in the Data Load Editor.
Thanks for your reply.
To undo the changes, so i need to press ctrl + z?
We use Qlik sense Enterprise. Do you think it has History section in data load editor. If yes where can i find it?
When any changes are done to the script, generally we expect a * in the browser tab any any online application. Do we have something like that in Qlik?
Thanks.
