Date Range Selections as Calculated Dimension Inputs

Hi! I have a Date Range Selector calendar and need to use the inputs to this in calculated dimensions like below.

I'm not sure how to assign variables to the date range selections to include in the calculations. Can you help me?

Calculated Start Date: If TransactionStartDate > vRangeStart, then Transaction StartDate, Else vRangeStart

Calculated End Date: If TransactionStopDate<vRangeEnd, then TransactionStopDate, Else vRangeEnd
