Determine if internet connection exists when app opens

I want to create an app which will show sheet 1 if internet connection exists and sheet 2 if it doesn't exist.
Basically I would like to use some Vizlib extension Charts on Sheet 1 (they require internet connection) and Sheet 2 would contain a more basic version of the reports using QlikSense charts.
A conditional show on the charts would also suffice in order to prodeuse the same effect.
I wish to avoid building 2 separate apps... one using extensions and other using QlikSense objects.
Doesn't Qlik Sense or Qlik View as a user normally needs internet connection to access app? Without internet the web page would not load. I do not understand the requirement..
