Downloading data manually from straight table

Hi all,

when I download data from a table, I want the formatting to be applied as described here:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/November2025/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/DataExport/export-da...

This works fine with the old standard table. A dialog box appears where you can select advanced table formatting.

But this does not work with the simple table. There is no dialog box where you can select this option. Does anyone else have the same problem? I tried it with a simple table with few rows of data and no special formatting.

Thank you very much.

Are you using Qlik Cloud or Qlik Sense Enterprise?

Yes, this is a known and expected difference in behavior between a Table and Pivot or Straight Table (the old, standard table object) in Qlik Sense.

The ability to select "Advanced Table Formatting"—which applies layout, color, and number formatting to the Excel file exported from a Qlik Sense chart—is typically not available when exporting data from the new, simpler table visualization.

Ok, Thanks for your reply.

Is Qlik planning to implement this? We have many users who manually download formatted tables. Qlik announced in the release notes that it would replace the old table with the straight table. However, we need the option to download formatted tables.
