Drill down dimension is not working and showing as incomplete visualization once I publish an app to a stream. 

I have created a drill down dimension in my work area. Once I publish an app to the stream it is coming as incomplete visualization. If I duplicate the sheet and trying to edit the sheet it is showing as dimension not found and also in master items the drill down dimension which I have created is not showing. Please help us

Similar behavior can occur when the app has Section Access in the Data load editor script, which limits the data that users can see. In your use case scenario, when the app is published, most probably the user doesn't have access to the Master Dimension or to one/all individual dimensions that are used to create the Master Dimension, which means that the visualization can't be generated, hence the error "Incomplete Visualization" and the other error "Dimension not found".

My recommendation would be first to test if a brand new application is not causing such issues:

1. Create a brand new app

2. Go to Data load editor

3. Hit CTRL + 00 to generate demo dataset, or just add a Load Inline statement with fake data inside

4. Create a Master Dimension with a couple of dimensions

5. Create an Bar chart

6. Add master dimension and an measure expression

7. Publish the app to "Everyone" stream

8. Check if you are getting the same errors

If you are not getting the same errors, this means that the Qlik Sense software and application are working as expected and the issue is within permissions. Therefore, you should check Section Access within the original app or if you have setup any other permissions.

                           Thanks for your response. In my application I don't have any section access. I'm getting this issue intermittently. I will explain my use case. My team member has created the drill down dimension in the app and then he published to the stream. Now few users are able to see the visualization with out any error and some users are getting in complete visualization error. If we duplicate the sheet in a published app and edit the sheet the dimension  is showing as dimension not found. 

Another use case is, the published app if a user duplicate and opens it in his work space then also it is showing as incomplete visualization and also if we click on edit sheet and see for drill down master dimension it is not available.  

This is happening intermittently. can you please help me on this.

Hello @Harsha2,

Can you please reproduce the issue with fake data in a new sample app and provide the sample app here for further investigation? You can generate fake data, by going to the Data load editor page and using the combination CTRL + 00 on your keyboard. Here are also some information that you can provide, which may help in the investigation:

1. Sample app with sample data (As mentioned above)
2. Reproduce the steps (Create the app, publish the app to the stream, open with user that fails to see the visualization) and after that export the published app from QMC to share here
3. What version of Qlik Sense and which patch version are you using?
4. Are the same users getting the particular issue, or random users getting it randomly?
5. Is Qlik Sense installed on a server or on a local machine?
6. Do all the users login with Window Login authentication or you are using any other type of authentication?
7. Are all the users with the same license or the license differs?

These information might help giving additional details for the investigation.
