I am using the variable extension (See here) to replace the by default filter in Qlik Sense, since I really need a filter where choosing one options automatically excludes all the others. I achieve this through a dropdown menu where I can hardcode the values of the variable.
This has worked great for me for variables that have a small set of values I know in advance. On the other hand, it is unfeasible for a variable that has a big amount of different values that may (and actually do) change from load to load. I would like to know if it is possible to create a drop down linked to a variable that gives you the choice between all the possible values of the variable.
