Force a filter selection based on another filter selection

Hi,

         I want to force a selection on a filter if another selection is made on filter. How to do that !

For example I have a filter as Year and Month. Consider there is data only for November in 2009. So if I select 2009 in Year, Month should automatically get selected as November.
