Forecasting

Hi, 

I have looked at so many posts regarding Forecasting within Qlik Sense, but unfortunately, I'm still unsure of how to do this.

Am I right in thinking that an extension is needed to do this and that there isn't a readily available function already within Qlik?

Hi, 

you are right, you have some options to add forecast to qliksense,
1. making analytics connection to R or Python, and to write your function of forecasting, you don't need an extension for this but you need to install either R or Python on your server.
some additional information can be found in this link.
2.Use Vizlib line chart extension, it has a built-in forecasting feature, so you won't need to install anything or writing your forecast function.
