How to compare current/previous month dates in background expression of measure field?

Hi All,

Facing a problem with below expression:

Sum ({<Date={">=$(=AddMonths(MonthStart (Today ()),0))<=$(=AddMonths(MonthEnd (Today ()),0))"}>}sales)

unable to show high/ low values like high as green background and low as red background.

How can I use above expression in background expression?

Can anyone help me please....
