How to edit an already published measure??

Hello all,

We have published a Sense application in a Stream and we have defined and used master measures.

Once uploaded we would like to change one of these master measure. Is that possible directly in the HUB? How can I do it?

Hi Anna,

It is not possible to change a master item in a published app directly, however what you can do in case you have access rights that allows you to do that is duplicating the app first. By doing this a copy will be available in the 'My Work' stream so you should be able to apply the changes and then publish it back.

Yes, I have tried and I can change the measure in properties of the graph where I used it...

I mean I can unlinked the master measure and then edit it, so I can manage to change the expression in my graph.

But can't I change the definition of the master measure?

Yes you can,

In the Assets pane there is a section for Master Items where you can change it, so it applies the change to all objects that are using that master item.

I am guessing there is probably a security rule in place that prevents you to do that because by default I imagine you would have access to all the components of the Assets Pane.

Hi Anna again,

You needs to edit your measures in your App in the (space my work). When you modified it publish the app again and replace the app published for this one.

Duplicating the app, editing the app in your work space and republishing it is the only way.
