In QuickBooks Advanced Reporting that is powered by Qlik, there is a report you can download called "Sales by Rep for Commissions". I ran the report for the date range of August 2018 so that I can see what is owed for commissions. The report shows all invoices paid in August that are also dated in August. Thus it is excluding any invoices paid in August that were invoiced prior to. I calculate commissions once an invoice is paid in full regardless of the invoice date. I need this report to show all payment made in August that pertain to invoices that are tagged to a particular rep regardless of the invoice's original date.

Hope that is detailed enough. Thanks for any help!

When you say download a report. Are you downloading a pdf or a qlik Sense App

please explain when you say run a report

Do you have access to the qlik Sense app? if so it should be fairly straighforward. create a table with Sales rep, Paid Date/month, and sum(invoice_value)

This is a qlik sense template that I saved and then imported from the quickbooks advanced reporting webpage. It is pretty straight forward except the only expression involving the "date" is txn date. this doent let you choose between invoice date or payment date. Here is the link where the "starter" reports are that I pulled from:

You need to create a Canonical Date

Take a look at this tutorial on handling multiple fact dates. Download the Qlik Sense version.
