Initialize variable in Variable Editor vs. Script

Hi, Qlik Sense allows to define a variable in the variable editor, but also in the script.

I know there is a difference using LET / SET in the script and also that script variables can´t be modified in variable editor.

But apart this:

I can set the initial value, which is set when user enters the app, in both ways.

I couldn´t find a difference to between those two methods for initialization.

Can anybody confirm or is there a difference?
