Installation demo on different devices

Hello,

I have installed Qlik Sense on the company desktop in order to evaluate the product. To present my first "development" internally, I tried to install the demo SW on my company laptop (with the same demo installation), but it does not work at all (no exe to launch the application,..). I did the same on my private laptop (with the same demo installation package), but I get an error message : "The engine could not be unlocked. Please retry."

Q : do I need to download again a demo package, for each installation I want to do ?

You do not need to download the installer  again for a second installation. However we do notice some users are experiencing the issue to install QlikSense Desktop especially on some computers with lots of other programs installed or strict group policy applied. 

 

One workaround is to copy the whole QlikSense Desktop folder from the working computer. You can still launch the exe. Another is to use Qlik Cloud which provides almost the same feature with QlikSense Desktop.
