Internal error when loading an app and I cannot duplicate this app either (this app is set as a task)

Hello,

I have this two tasks that contibute to the building of my app.

The tasks are not loading on the QMC, and I do not get why. I only get "task status: failed" but I cannot download any script log.

I tried going through the data editor of this tasks, which as I said, are first buidt as apps... but when I load it I get an error "internal error".

Then I tried duplicating this tasks, and I cannot do that either!. (for the record,I COULD duplicate this app before, I duplicate it one week before)

I wiuld appreaciate any help.

thanks

Yes sorry, the files are without extensions. Copy the file with the correct ID to somewhere else, and rename it to soemthing and give it the extension .qvf. Then try to import it. (Ignore lock files).

If it still doesn't work, try to investigate the answer by @Anil_Babu_Samineni. I'm not sure what the create extension statement actually does, could you explain that part Anil?

In your duplicate question "Why can't I duplicate an app" you say you get an error message "An error ocurred, write failed". Are you on Qlik Sense Enterprise (on-premises) or on Qlik Cloud? If this is a self-hosted setup, you might want to check your storage area (e.g. server hard drive) for errors.

Hello, thanks for answering. yeah i asked twice because then I discovered all of that that is going on and maybe is contributing to it. I do not know 😞

I am on Qlik Sense Enterprise, I am using my companys qlik sense account.

yeah, if it was about storage area, then i would not be able to duplicate other apps, right? and I can do that. I can duplicate other apps... right?

If you are on Qlik Sense Enterprise as you say, that is not on Qlik Cloud, the apps are physically stored somewhere within your company's storage infrastructure (a server hard drive or a SAN or something like that). You could try copying the app - a qvf file named as the app ID - and then import it as a new app. You can find that location as an admin in the QMC under "Service Cluster".

What on earth is going on with all the likes on my comments in this post? I've never seen so many likes on comments, and it happens almost instantly when I post.

15 likes and only 5 "views"... Is someone using a bot to bump a topic for attention..? 🤨

I believe you. The same is happening in other threads, I'm chatting with support about it.

So I did the following: I went to QMC/Apps, then I exported the app as a QVF file, it worked.

Then in QMC/Apps I try to upload that same app that I have just exported, but it work work. I get a red cross 😞

Tricky issue. It's possible that the drive where the app is stored is corrupt. But why then could you export in the first place? That's strange. Maybe you should try copying the app from its disk location (instead of exporting from QMC) and import that qvf.
