When upgrading to Feb 2024 we are encountering an issue when running the updater. On first run the installer errors out. if we then try to run the installer again we are told that "it is not possible to upgrade a rim node using Synchronized Persistence. Please uninstall the existing version before installing this package."
We are not on one of our rim nodes. Additionally, after the installer has run and failed we get the following when attempting to start the services "Windows could not start the <service name> on Local computer. Error 1075: The Dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion."
During installation we are asked for the password for the service account, but not for the database.
This appears to happen on other servers as well and we have had to roll back our attempt.
Has anyone encountered this issue?
=====================================
In the repository log we found the folowing: Error! Could not install patch: QlikSenseEnterprisePatch with uninstall command... please uninstall manually
We are in a multi node environment with the database sitting on a seperate server - this is a postgres 14 database which we upgraded from postgres 11 previously (both databases are present but only the updated one is listening on the ports connected to Qlik Sense)
Hello @Dtrouve
If you attempted to upgrade the environment and it happened to fail, then please check to see which services are still installed. There are times that most of the Qlik Services get uninstalled and only 1 or 2 services are listed such as "Qlik Printing Service"
If this is the case, then you will need to go ahead and Uninstall Qlik Sense. Make sure that when you do the uninstall, do not remove certs or anything.
After the uninstall is completed, go ahead and attempt to install the newer version of Qlik Sense and connect it to the existing database.
