I have an app I am converting from QlikView.
The primary dimension is Unit. But it allows the user to pick from 4 different metrics to create the stacked bar chart. QV is using variables to do this.
I have been able to get close to this in QS with having 2 dimensions and then alternate dimensions. But my issue is this
I do not want the user to be able to change the primary dimension of Unit. Only pick a value from the list on the right side of this image. Is there a way to turn off the ability to make choices on the left side?
Unit is the Stack. Then Fall Type is the first bar. And then I have 3 alternative dimensions.
The problem is that if I click on Unit I can then change the Dimension to one of alternative dimensions and I don't want that to be possible.
Hi,
you could use a workaround like this (file attached)
This is not going to work for me.
Consider A,B,C,D as the age grouping in my scenario. Then the user can pick Gender as an alternative. I then want to see a stacked bar chart with each age group showing the breakdown between M and F in each bar.
The issue is that the user can now pick the alternatives from both pulldowns at the bottom. I want the Age to be fixed with no option to choose. They can only choose the alternatives from the right pulldown.
I'm not sure this is even possible.
Thanks for trying.
