One Year Filter for multiple analysis

Dear Experts,

I have a dash board with Sales and Stock Data. Now both analysis have date fields in their own different tables. I want to apply a single year filter which can filter both analysis sales as well as stock.

What should be the date i select as year filter?

My QVF is very huge in size.

Infact the issue is i have analysis with Sales Value and Stock Value and a filter is Year from Sales Table transaction dates.

Now when i select year suppose 2017 then the stock value do not appear against the item whose dont have sales in 2017.

If i deselect year value from filter then complete sale and stock appears.
