In the meantime we have an article that clarifies the concerns about the new and old table:

Thanks for that @Daniele_Purrone@Or

The existing column organization in the old table can be done by dragging it to the desired column with the mouse. I know this is possible in the new table with chart navigation, but if it's not visible to the user, it's no longer possible.

Another point is column sorting within chart navigation. Currently, to get it to apply an alphabetical sort (ascending or descending), for example, you have to do it manually and apply the sorting. So, if I add a new column afterward, it gets lost in the sorting, and I have to go through the sorting process again.

It would be nice if it were possible to apply a sorting function to the columns that appear in chart navigation, like this:

You are of course welcome @MatheusC , but you should open an Ideation post with your ideas and link it here (it's okay to include all the details in your post, of course) to make sure it's visible to the Qlik product team. I'm not sure they'll be following this thread.

Not sure if you are still accepting feedback on this post but I'll leave my feedback here just in case:

I saw some people say they don't like the context menu for selecting/ sorting on the new table but personally I like it since its more space efficient.

I do agree with others that re-ordering columns in the property panel is brutal once you go past 10 columns.

Anyways here are some other ideas for the table that I think would be great additions:

  1. Tooltips for cells (like in the vizlib extension)

  2. Freeze/Pin columns to left or right like in the vizlib table. Also the original QS Table let you freeze one column but the new one doesn't let you freeze any columns.
    https://ideation.qlik.com/app/#/case/276609?cpid=74c7df11-b6c5-4749-adfa-d5dc478e4ab3§ion=requests
  3. Ability to change background and text color of individual column headers
    https://ideation.qlik.com/app/#/case/516972?cpid=3889ce8e-dd13-48d9-99f9-b04de3d5d989
  4. Label override (In the straight table, it automatically uses the label set in the Master Item, but it would be nice to have an option to override the master item label with a custom expression.)
    https://ideation.qlik.com/app/#/case/531602?cpid=7c72cd80-b3c6-4117-8d67-ee2adf7dfced
  5. More control over row height. Currently we can set row height in lines but we don't have an option for the row cell padding.

Definitely no harm in posting here, might get a few more eyeballs on these ideation posts.
