Hi Qlik, I just tried the Org Chart object from the April 2020 release, but was quite disappointed unfortunately. Why don´t you just add a visualization option to the pivot table? If every value in a pivot table could be displayed as a card, then you could just put as many dimensions as you like as columns. Org Chart finished!
Some problems with the Org Chart from the April 2020 release:
1. You can´t just create the chart with existing data model. You have to use Parents and Children. This to me feels like unnecessary programming effort.
2. The limitations in number of nodes and records are very annoying
3. When a node is selected, you don´t see the entire tree. You still want to see the parents and children when selecting a node. You don´t want to be forced to select nodes on every level to see the hierarchy connected to a specific node. In a pivot table this works exactly as the user wants, however you don´t get the desired layout with cards in a pivot table.
