Performing data load only after filtering data

Hi all,

New to Qlik Sense 🙂

I was wondering if there is an option to select a parameter, and only after that to perform a data load.

Since I'm having a quite big data table (SQL, ~30M items, pretty complicated queries), loading all the data is impossible (and if so is talking way too much time).

I have a parameter, lets say it's a version number, and it has multiple values.

I wish first to select the relevant version, and only then to present all the data.

Is it possible?
