QMC opens only with localhost
Hi all,
I have just installed Qlik Sense server.
When I try to open the QMC with either the FQDN or the IP address, it does not work.
Is there anything I need to do?
I have only tried to whitelist the IP and the FQDN in the virtual proxy list.
Thanks in advance.

Check the Certificates, the issue will be with certificate.

What did you put in the white list?
On mine I have an entry with the server name and then another with the name qualified with the domain. I am not sure that I need both of them. I also have the IP in the list. It works fine.
Does it open with localhost from the server?
Is the port open?

I put the IP address (static) & the FQDN in the whitelist.
Yes, it opens with the localhost.
What port is it that I gotta open?

Hi,
The certificates are installed by default by the Qlik installation.
At times due to the improper host name given while installation, installs wrong certificates. which stops Qlik Sense access using the hostname.
Something similar is in your case where access with hostname is not allowed but with localhost and may be with IP address it is allowed.
Try below steps.
1. Stop All the services.
2. Table backup of the certificates installed.
3. Delete the certificate
4. Restart the services.
And try login using the hostname.
Additional information.
