Hi Everyone

Has anyone used AWS QuickSight BI tool. How does it compare with Qlik product (View/Sense). What are pros and cons. What i am really interested is what are QuickSight limitation, what it cannot do which is possible by Qlik.

Any input is appreciated.

Hi,
I have some experience with Quicksight + Redshift / Postgre.
Most of the AI automation you would be familiar with in Qlick products is not present in Quicksight.
Creation of data sources requires the user to have good grasp on what does the data contain, and also how should it be manipulated for desired results.
Datasets, as they are called, are most often a prepped raw selection of data that could be useful later, which requires more planning than Qlicksense I would say.
Quicksight is more intuitive in the editor though I would say. Everything is very explicit, and near no essential option required for creating a good looking and greatly informative visualizations is hidden behind an option, special edit section, or a sub-menu.
Quicksight also doesn't integrate with external services as well as Qlicksense does - everything has to be operated in-app/on-site, and conjoining a select view from QS in a custom website can be troublesome.
If I were to shorten QS in two words, it would be Candy Tableau.

Qlicksense can do much of the work for you, because of its AI-based features, which are missing in QS all things considered.

One thing you should remember, is that Quicksight is more about relational data bases, with more emphasis on JOINed sources, and Qlicksense gets closer to graph data base solutions with its nested correlations between data sources.

I hope this was in any way informative and what you're looking for 😄
