Qlik Sense trial connect to Microsoft SQLServer

I am new to Qlik and have started the free trial.  I am trying to connect to sql server but each time it times out.  Can anyone give me a simple guide to connecting?

Is your SQL Server reachable from the internet? Qlik Sense Business is a cloud based Saas platform. It lives in the internet.

Hi Gysbert, Thanks for clarifying.  Our server is not reachable so looks like Qlik is not the product for us

That goes for any Cloud based solution.

But there's also Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows which you can run on premise. Actually you can use Qlik Sense in a hybrid combination with an on premise instance that integrates with a (or several) Cloud based instance(s).
