Qlik Sense vs Qlikview (Custom reports, button actions)
Good morning,
At our institution we currently have an enterprise server installation of Qlikview and we're currently taking a look at Qlik Sense with a view towards our medium term BI tool. I've been doing some research, but I'm still short of some clarity which I hope someone might be able to help with.
Currently in our student number reporting DB, users have the option to build their own custom tables using actions to populate variables which in turn populate the pivot table.
Is this possible in Qlik Sense? From what I've read thus far, its not and the closest I can find is the ability to hide columns in a predefined table.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Yours,
Matt

You would need extensions like climber which can help create pivot tables. its paid and part of vizlib brings a whole lot of advanced capabilities to Sense.
there are free extensions which creates straight tables e.g. below

You should try out the new version of the Custom Report (previously from Climber, now part of the Vizlib Self-Service package): https://home.vizlib.com/vizlib-self-service-for-qlik-sense/
Not only is it fast to use, it's well supported. You can download a free trial.
There are nice preset themes to use, and you can even visualize the data quickly in not only table form but in various visualizations.
