Qlik Sense with AD Groups and Security on DB Objects
We use Qlik Sense to report from our warehouse. One item we have been attempting to do is enforce AD security groups on SQL objects. The issue is that Qlik sense hits the database with a service account. Qlik Sense understands the AD user and the AD group, but Qlik isn't passing that information along to SQL server, so the server level object permissions are ignored. SQL just sees the service account and not the user accessing the Qlik Apps.
We want to limit certain schema and table access in SQL based on AD groups and get Qlik Sense to honor this from an AD group level. Do we have something configured incorrectly or is this a gap with Qlik Sense?
