Row level section access in Qlik Sense when using binary load?

Is it possible/how to apply row level section access in Qlik Sense when using binary load? It works when suppressing columns, but it appears not for rows since the load is not processing rows?

you need to put the section access in the app you are binary loading from and it will carry over to the current application

Actually I resolved this and it CAN be done in the app after the binary load.

The problem was due to trying to limit on a string field (rather and numeric) and found that strings MUST be in upper case when used in section access.
