Same calculation with a set of data in consecutive years

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Qlik. And at the moment I'm working on calculating the Turnover rate of my company. I can do it on Spreadsheet using Countifs but not yet on Qlik.

The formula for Turnover rate that I'm using is:

(Total turnovers in year X) divide (Number of existing employees on 01/01/year X + Number of existing employees on 31/12/year X)/2

I have two sheets: one as Current/existing employees and the other one is Ex-Employees (who have resigned).

All records start from year 2006 up to now - 2020.

Can anyone guide me how to do the same calculation and apply them to such years from 2006 to 2020 (today)?

Can we do it with variables? If yes, please show me some tips.

Thank you so much.

Duong.

(Sum({<[Year]={"$(=Max([Year]))"}>}Turnovers)/ (Count({<[Date]={"$(=Min([Date]))"}>}Employees)+

Count({<[Date]={"$(=Max([Date]))"}>}Employees))) /2

Confirm that X value is based on selection?
