Select/Deselect field in table - resets table view

Brand new to Qlik Sense and I'm already running into a UI issue for my use case.
I have a straight table that someone will be scrolling through (about 1000 rows - to be regularly refreshed). The person will sometimes need to select one of the rows to view additional info in another table.
The issue comes when de-selecting the field: the table view resets to the beginning of the table, instead of staying on the current view. E.g., when looking at row 500, you select a field, view additional data, and then de-select and proceed to view the following rows. With the current behavior, it is not usable at all since the user will have to scroll down again the row 501.
