Dear experts,
need your support with the following issue.
I use a standard bar chart as Gantt showing project milesstones.
The dimension of the gantt is the field combination of "Project" & "Milesstone".
E.g
Gantt:
Project A Milesstone A
Project A Milesstone B
Project A Milesstone C
Project A Milesstone D
Project B Milesstone A
Project B Milesstone B
Below I have a table with Column A = "Project" and Column B = "Milesstone".
Now if I select a milesstone in the Gantt, it filters the table below for this one milesstone only.
If I click on "Project B Milesstone A" in the Gantt, I only can see "Project B Milesstone A" in the table below.
What I need is to see all milesstones associated with this project.
So if I click on "Project B Milesstone A" in the Gantt, I need to see "Project B Milesstone A" AND "Project B Milesstone B" in the table below.
Appreciate your support.
Best regards,
Sebastian
Hi there,
This puzzle turned out to be tougher than I thought.
My first idea was to simply use Set Analysis to select the desired project and disregard the selections in the field "Project-Milestone". However, when I tried it in a sample App, it didn't work.
The only way I managed to get the desired result is by adding an Alternate State and assigning the object that selects the Project-Milestone (the Gantt chart in your case) to the Alternate State.
Then, in the table (which belongs to the default "inherited" state), as defined Project as the one from the Alternate State (in my sample app, it's called "PM"), and the Milestone field is defined as usual, with no special effects. This combination appears to be working as desired:
