User can't see script and table in data manager

Just came across the weird issue, one user can't see the script, tables in data manager. however he can see data model and data on front end visualization. when he tries to modify the visualization it gets grayed out.

under what circumstances this could happen?

Are we talking about Sense Desktop? Wich version?
