web view allow the developer to work in mode that is similar to what users will see when they use web browser to interact with qlikview apps ,

there are several things that work in regular desktop and not in ajax view 

for example macros, fit zoom to window , etc..

while web view will allow you to work with extensions which you can't in regular view
