But there is no way for a personal user to active for a trail even with time restriction. My ex-employer uses Qlik Sense. I am familiar with that and Qlik Sense used to allow at least 30 days trail personal use.
Now, finding the way to active a trail personal use in Qlik's official website is super difficult.
I really don't understand how the business decision is made by Qlik. Don't you guys want more people to learn and try to use Qlik to grow a bigger Qlik community and Qlik users? Why making a trail and download and personal use so difficult? Especially there are plenty of more and more competitive BI products out there in the market with stronger eco-system's competitors.
In 2021 when I interviewed my second Qlik Sense job, I was still able to easily download and use as trail in order to prepare my Qlik Sense home work for interview. Nowadays, there is completely impossible. How the authenticate works at all for a personal user without a organisation? I don't understand why are you closing you gate to normal individual people by building such high threshold for personal individual. For example, M's P'Bi, they are super easy to download and open to use. If I am training to be a BI developer. Why do I invest so much hassle to learn how to active a free trail for Qlik. Instead, directly using a super easy download and trail M's P'Bi?
This process should be made much much easier if we are going to encourage the next generation of Qlik developers to pick up the product and do something great with it. At the moment, in an attempt to stop licence fee dodging, I believe that Qlik are crippling the ecosystem for now and for the future.
This is clearly a big mistake from my perspective. I'm still not able to use it as apparently now the only option is to use a trial account to get the activation link (and I used that one with my current account years ago) so either I need to create a new account using another email or wait till some client has the full license to get the authentication link from. Meaning it's barely accessible to anyone unless you're already part of an organization that has to pay full price for getting all the package.
I've used that trial on this account years ago. So I would need to create a new one if I want to have a 15-30 days trial (I don't even remember how many days they give you) and that for someone barely new is not near enough to learn properly. Very disappointed on the direction Qlik had decided to go with the accessibility to this marvelous tool.
@andrespa - not sure what you are talking about? If it is about Qlik desktop - then you can download new activation file from download page and qlik sense desktop and use it as many times as needed. After key expires you can download another one and re-activate it.

I have just downloaded the latest unlock key for Desktop and it has worked fine for me. It's only got another ten days to go on it, but I suspect a new one will be on the site soon.
To find it filter on Qlik Sense Desktop and show all releases, not just latest. Presently it is quite a way down the list of downloads, but it is there and it does work.
