dimension limits on a straight table

Can someone explain this behavior in qlik sense. 

I've got my sales by salesman (either A or B) in descending order. I now only want to show the top 5 rows of this. Which would be April, June, May, Feb, and Jan as these 5 months have the highest sales. But when I set a limit, lets say top 5 on the dimension limits nothing changes. I know the third column is throwing it off because its giving me top 5 rows per the salesman. Can anyone shed some light on this behavior and what can be done simply to yield to just those 5 rows. Thanks
