I have a stream, user, is it mandatory to create the custom property, (or) i can write the security rule for a stream in security rule option in the stream properties.
Hi, if you are asking about how to give access a user to a stream... it's not mandatory, just one of the many ways to configure security, it can also be done by user names, groups, roles...

If you don't have groups or attributes for users that can be applied (wich implies to manage security using Active Directory), you can use custom properties to give access to stream just applying custom properties to users, avoiding to have to edit security rules for streams or creating new rules for each stream.
