was anyone able to generate the 3 files mentionned in the article https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/May2026/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_DeployA...
at this time i only get the "QlikObjecScanReport.csv"
QlikObjectScanOutput.parquet: Contains information about all visualizations used in all apps of the installation.
QlikObjectScanExtensionStatus.parquet: Contains information about all extensions available in the Qlik Sense installation and their deprecation status.
QlikObjecScanReport.csv: Contains meta data, including time stamp of the scan.
any ideas?
@Eduardo_Monteiro thanks for suggesting
but this gets me an error when running the ImportQlikSenseCLIModule.ps1
similar error when running the AddParquetExtentionWhitelistTable.ps1
@Eduardo_Monteiro I was able to run the utility and load the .parquet extension successfully.
However, it does require some additional setup, such as creating a connector and configuring it for file loading.
Hi @JacovCohenQ
That is correct. You need to configure the object scanner to generate/attach the files to the correct appID. You will find the instructions in the PDF (pages 2 to 6).
Basically, setting up the object scanner and adjusting the configuration section in the app.
For the first run, I suggest using the trial mode:
• vSessionLogDaysBack = 7 (only parse session logs created in the last 7 days)
• vTaskLogDaysBack = 7 (only parse task execution logs created in the last 7 days)
• vAppLastReloadedDaysBack = 2 (only collect metadata for Apps reloaded in the last 2 days)
• vFileScanMaxDuration = 2 (only scan data files for 2 minutes)
• vArchivedLogsFileScanMaxDuration = 2 (only scan Archived Logs files for 2 minutes)

Hi @Eduardo_Monteiro
The utility is not working as expected. Each time I run it, the files are generated in a different directory.
Initially, the files were created under:
C:\Program Files\Qlik\Sense\Tools\ExternalProgramTasks\QlikSenseObjectScanner
However, during my most recent executions, they were generated under:
C:\Program Files\Qlik\Sense\Scheduler
As a workaround, I created a new data connection pointing to the folder and updated the app to use the LIB connection instead of the Attached option. With this change, the process is working correctly.
I am currently trying to use the available parameters to force the files to be saved in a dedicated directory.
What I do not understand is why the documentation states that the utility is installed and supported as part of the Qlik Sense installation, yet it does not appear to work consistently in practice.
I'm running using the QlikSenseCLI, but I still get the error
"Get-QSAbout : Cannot convert type 'System.Management.Automation.PSObject' to 'string'
At line:2 char:12
+ $QSAbout = Get-QSAbout

This work:

with the new files and following the documentation of the Content Monitor, maybe in combination with QS May 2026 patch 4, seems to have solved the issues (enabling parquets on existing apps + usage of content monitor)
