Allow me to go really off-topic here, but I am glad to announce that today I am launching a new book:
The English version: The Handprint and the Algorithm From the Cave Wall to the Machine Mind
The Portuguese version: A Marca da Mão e o Algoritmo Das pinturas nas cavernas às máquinas que pensam
It is a book about AI, but not exactly technical. It discusses the philosophy and impact of AI, from a historical and sociological aspect, showing in between the history of human invention, where we came from and where we are going to.
We think this discussions are new, but we always had them. Since Socrates claiming writing will destroy human memory to us, saying AI will kill our ability to create.
