Qlkiview to hbase connection

Hi,

I'm using Qlikview 11.20 Personal edition.

Now i wanted to connect to hbase 0.94.15-cdh4.6.0 (hbase which I'm using is not a standalone hbase,it is with cloudera).

So i saw one announcement/blog in the below link:

1)In the above link they have shown how to connect to hbase but i wanted to know whether  they have used ODBC driver or JDBC driver to connect to hbase?

2) Please provide the link from where to download the driver which is campatible with my qlikview and hbase version.

3) Also provide the steps to install the drivers

Hi,

In already gone thriugh the links which you have shared. But i din't find the information of drivers . If they are using jdbc or ODBC . If they are using jdbc , what are the required hbase jars . These thing are not clearly given there. Thay have just mentioned about the connection .

As suggested i came to know that pheonix SQL Layer JDBC driver is used to connect to qlikview and Hbase.

Can you please give me the link from where to download this driver and procedure to install this server.

Also is it possible to connect to hbase from qlikview without using pheonix SQL Layer JDBC driver? Is there any other drivers are available?

Here I'm not using standalone hbase.(i'm using hbase with cloudera)

You need to prepare also on the server site. For the JDBC connect it's also important to place the config file hbase-site.xml in the same folder as the phoenix-x.x.x-client.jar.

Hi, Phoenix driver is compatible only with apache HBASE right?

I'm using the hbase version 0.94.15-cdh4.6.0 . So Phoenix driver is compatible with this version of hbase?

Alos from the below link what i'm supposed to download to get Phoenix driver?

There is a lot more to do to set it up then just downloading and using a driver. I guess this doesn't fit into this forum, and it is not a QlikView related question...
