I set up a test for document administrator.
When entering the QMC with the user credentials, I see the source documents tab just right, but the Status tab get stuck..
Is your user belong to Qlikview administrator group?
No, it is not..
But for my understanding it shouldn't be.
I added the user to the source folder, and the user can access the source documents folder (although it takes long long time..) and run the task from there.
it's just that the Status tab is not working right.
You don't have all components.
Make sure all your services are up and running.
But I'm not trying to access the full QMC, just as a document administrator (that is set up to see one document only)
What I can tell is that you need to be a part of Qlik administrator group to use or host or run tasks.
When added the user to the qlikview administrators group, I got to see the full QMC (and running fast and good..).
But that's not the purpose. I want to restrict this user activity to just one document.
This is not directly supported.
since you have got the document rights, you wont be able to see the services running.
Please contact the administrator who has full rights and ask them to restart the services.
Actually I am the system administrator and this is a test I'm making.
I don't want to see the services tab but the Status --> Tasks tab, which I understand I should see..
I'm supposed to see just the Tasks tab and the Source Documents tab, am I right?
You will be able to see only Tasks tab and the Source Documents tab if you have given it under document rights
