I have some strange security behaviour in 3.1.1. Seems like the security rules are reacting very strange. For example 2 apps in the same stream. One with Edit scripts, the other one without edit rights. Changing the rules doesn't have any effect.
Hi Amien, I can't test it know but have you checked that there is no other rule assigning edit permissions? Maybe the app directly doesn't have permissions to edit, but the user, or a role, or the stream, or... is giving the permission to edit.
i checked all the app* app_ app.* stream* rights.. no create there. does only create give a edit button? should i disable all rules and than add rules one-by-one to check if no rules is causing this? It is not possible that the repositiroy is corrupt or that there are rules which do not show up in the interface?
Did some checking. Even with ALL rules disabled. except 1 to read the app. Still can create an app.
Strange thing isl, when i republish the app. And than i can't edit the app. So for some reason, the new rules are only applied when the app is republished. Anyone got a clue? I'm lost
Ok, i found out this:
For some reason, when i change to rules and publish the app again. It altered security rules are applied. When i change a security rule OR even a Custom Property, the rules are not applied on the published app. When i re-publish the app again, the right rules are applied.
Could there be any sync delay?
Hi Amien, I don't have many exprerience with sense deployments yet and I haven't applied security by app, but I can confirm that the security rules applied to streams have inmediate effects, at least in version 3.0 SR2.
If you find a solution or explanation please post it here.
I suppose the rule is correct but, can you post an screenshot of your rule to check it?
