We have a variable in the document which evaluates in the editor but nprinting will not show in the output

What's odd is if the formula is placed on a new sheet, the evaluation works
=TEXT(RPT_DATE)
The report has a pivot table and what we found is if the variable is within two rows, it would not evaluate.
When another row was inserted, it worked. I think this qualifies as a bug.
add as variable instead of formula --> one row above
Nice suggestion but same result - <vReportDate>
which version of NPrinting do you use?

how is your variable defined exactly?

It's probably an Excel issue having to do with dynamic ranges and pivot tables.
Is you need to eliminate rows between the formula and the pivot table, try using the delete row functionality on the rows you want to delete.

One of the first things we tried. Didn't work
We first built the pivot table manually in excel - didn't have this problem.
