Installing Qlik Sense June 2017 on windows 2008 server R2

Looking through the Planing document there is a bit of ambiguity in this area.

Target Platforms are identified as

l Microsoft Windows Server 2012

l Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2

l Microsoft Windows Server 2016

For development and testing purposes only:

l Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit version only)  l Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit version only)  l Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit version only)

These operating systems are supported by Qlik Sense. Third-party software may require service packs to be installed.

Then in the rest of the document it refers to Windows Server 2008 R2.

Currently running Sense 3.2 on it with no issue.

Is this just a missing piece of documentation or is Qlik depreciating support for 2008 R2 Server?

Regards

Andy

From how I read it, is

qlik sense requirement ( ---> On the server it is installed <--)

Microsoft Windows Server 2012

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2

Microsoft Windows Server 2016

2008 is only mentioned further on in the document when it refers to Browser support... ie client side.

Hey all,

One of our customer has Qlik Sense November 2017 on Windows 2008 R2. How is that possible? I was very suprised when I saw version of Qlik.

You still may be able to install it and it run but my guess would be it is not supported if there is an issue

I'd check the release notes for November 2017 and its supported OS. you don't want to be exposed to issues that they won't support you on if the install has been fudged.
