Unable to open Qlikview File

Hi,

I have a qlikfile which i was able to open on a system however 2 weeks down the line there seems to be problem with this and it's not opening. The ICON has changed from it's normal view however the same file copied on a different system can be opened without any problems.

Do you have a Qlikview Developer installed and is it licensed or personal version?

Hi Ashutosh,

Yes we have Qlikview Developer installed and it is licensed version as well. This worked for approximately 4 months or more than that however all of a sudden it stopped working. Could that be becuase of corrupt S/W, i am not too techy in this regards.

There may be some problems with registry.

If it is the case then you can reinstall/repair your installation using the same exe/msi file you used to install the developer software.

It is a simple procedure.

Which version of Qlikview developer you are using?

Hi Raj,

QVS.exe is qlikview server service, why are you trying to kill it?

It will pop up again as it is a service, if you want to stop it then you need to do it through services.

You are facing problems when you open the file in Qlikview developer (QV.exe) then you should kill QV.exe process.

Since, it seems that you have server installed then can you check that if you can open this same file through server.

i.e you put this file in User docs (mounted folder to server) and then try to open it thorugh browser.

If you can do this then it means that your file is not corrupted rather problem is with your Qlikview Developer. If you can not open this file in the server also then it means that your QVW file is corrupted and you should try to open it without data.
