Hi!
I have a question about the integration of Qlikview with web applications like ASP.NET. My question is: If I want to use Qlikview in ASP.NET its mandatory to have Workbench license? The Workbench is a set of ASP.NET components right? But I can use it in different ways? If I build a QVW file report (and I deploy it in the server) can I see in directly in a web page in the client side?
Do I have more alternatives?
This is a quite important question for me so I would appreciate help. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Joao
Joao, if your users will be allowed to interact with the information through the QlikView server, each of those users will need to have licenses to enable them to do that (Nominal, Document, Usage or Session CAL).
If you decide to use the QV Workbench to do that from within an ASP.NET application then you will also need the QV Workbench license, if you only redirect them to an QV Application you won't need a QV Workbench license but the users will still need access to the QV Server.
If you export static content out of QlikView and then show it in your application you won't need any QV licenses.
Hi,
One can use direct links to QV reports

Daniel,
When you said about static context you are saying that its like an image of the QV document? In other words, without licenses in the Clients (or with static context) its possible to interact with the report? Explore the information in the QV graphics?

Joao
By static content I mean a PDF, HTML, JPG, XLS, that type of content.
Thanks Daniel!
So I have two choices here:
Am I right?
Thanks in advance!

Joao
I believe you will always need 1. if your users need interactive 'QlikViews' in any of the clients.
2. will allow you to use the QlikView workbench objects in ASP.NET.
