Issue regarding the QlikView Management Console

Currently, we are encountering an issue concerning the QlikView Management Console in all three environments (Dev, QA & Production). When trying to access URLs, it states that access is denied due to the absence of membership in the local security group. Please refer to the screenshot attached in the mail. We seek assistance in resolving this matter.

Hi @GopinathWWU_123 ,

This permission is controlled by the system using a local group on the QlikView servers. Add the account to the "QlikView Administrators" group on all servers and login again.

It should be resolved.

If it's resolved, please mark this as solved. If not, please share what you see next.

Regards,

Hi Team/hugo_andrade,

I wanted to bring to your attention that few of the particular user (eg:Craig Doble) is already in "QlikView Administrators" group on all servers. However, still the user is unable to access the QlikView Management Console in all three environments (Dev, QA & Production). Please find the attached image.

Could you please assistance us in resolving this issue.

Got it @GopinathWWU_123 .

Are there multiple domains on the network?

I've seen this happening before where on complex environments where there were multiple domains connected together.

The user was added to the proper group, but user was logging in using a different domain.

Could you ask the user to RDP to one of these servers and browse to QMC using http://localhost:4780/qmc ?

Also, could you ask the user to login to Access Point and show the user credentials visible ? I wonder if they are the same.

Hi Team/hugo_andrade,

FYI - The user is able to access the QMC inside the RDP server. However, our main issue/concern that the user should be able to access the QMC outside the RDP. Attached screenshot for your reference

It is a SSO (Single-sign on). So, the Access point is not required here.

Could we have a short call with Wales & West Business user to solve this issue? Please provide your availability to schedule a call.

Hi @GopinathWWU_123 ,

check the Windows Events --> Security on the server, when the user log-ins.
You might find a clue there...
