TAC Linux - Job Conductor - File Trigger - Only Created check box - jobs are triggered as many times as files found in the folder

Hi,

The jobs have a file trigger with only the created check box, the jobs doesn't delete the trigger file after execution.

I noticed this problem when the files started to accumulate in the trigger folder, when a new file arrive the job is triggered but after some hours the job start to triggered as many times as files found in the trigger folder as if all the old files just arrived.

We talk with Talend Support and they tell us to move the file to another folder after execution but that is an answer that does not solve the problem that the TAC tool does not work as it should for some reason that until now we don't understand.

which release do you use ?

There 3 file triggers events :

There is "file exists", ""file created" , "file modified"

You can select 1 2 or 3 of this condition. How ever, file exist will trigger the job as long as the file exist

You might want to trigger the task only the file is created or modified.

however you issue can be that you get too much file on this polling directory. Might i suggest you to create a task from a job containing a tsystem that clean up the folder and create a cron task for such a job daily basis
