Understand the use of Talend server (tac server, job server, ...)

Hi all,

We are using TAC 5.2.2, I would like to understand more how it’s works

We have 7 process running :

-- MySQL Database : I guess it’s web interface connect to this database to retrieve/insert data when we are working on JOB Conductor …

-- httpd : no problem with this

-- Tomcat Server : to run jsp, jsf …

-- SVN Server : centralize data when developing

-- Talend CommandLine : generate and deploy jobs on different job serves.

-- Talend-Artifact-Repository-V5.2.1: ???

-- Talend Job Server : run the job

Can someone help me to understand more about Talend-Artifact-Repository-V5.2.1 ?

Hi,

In short, artifact repository (here the Talend website) is the place where "components" are stored after they have been built/exported from the Studio. As soon components are in the repository, you can get them to be deployed and used from the TAC.
