QlikSense QMC Engine Question.

Please answer the question.

1) Is the message displayed in Status like the attached picture the message that appears when the engine service is restarted?
If not, why is the message appearing?

2) Where is the place to set the Central Engine running time?
Two Nodes other than Central have different message times (Engine running since different times), why is that?

3) Where can I see the log that can be checked when the engine service is down?

Please reply after checking.

@qwebnm

This information is always there. It tells you when the server was started.

I am not sure what you mean about setting the engine time, can you explain a bit more?

Each engine has it's own information about when it was started. So it would not be unusual to have different times.

1) The server is still running.
But why does i(Information) time change?

2) Engine time setting
There was a time difference of several hours between the three nodes. Did this set up like this as part of it?
Is there any reason for the time difference?

Please answer.

Hi @qwebnm

2)Check in log folder   C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Engine\ you should find file called servername_Start_Engine_YYYY_MM_DD.log with some record and one of those records with the date indicate in your printscreen

3)QMC -> Governance -> Operation Monitor -> Operations Monitor App , very usefull app to control the behavior of the services in the respective nodes

If a node has no active sevices, you can see it by opening the qmc (red label) and servername_Exit_Engine_YYYY_MM_DD.log   C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Engine\ if the service node is Engine.

Hope it was helpful,

best regardes

A server is running doesn't mean the engine ran.

I can turn on the server. stop all qlik services for a week.

then turn it back on, and QMC will show when i turn the service back on. Not a week ago when the server was turn on.

QMC doesn't report the server information. QMC reports the qlik SERVICES (application) running on the server.
