Averages

Hi all!

Trying to brainstorm some ideas here. Now, how does one group the averages of each customer with reference to the product they purchased along with the data in which they purchase it in.

Suppose we have a data frame like this:

Customer ID | Date Purchased | Product Name | Sales amount

Now, let's say in October 2021, the average sale for Customer 1 is 10.

In November 2021, the average sale for Customer 1 is 15. There is an increase.

I have two questions:

1. Now, making a different chart, how do I group such individuals who had increased in their averages, stayed the same, or decreased in their averages?

2. What sort of average is best? Not every month has equal days. Not every customer buys one transaction worth of goods. Not every customer buys multiple products.

All comments appreciated!

I do not have any samples to attach, just hypothetical. Need some ideas.
